Customers are invited to join Digi to bring cheer to senior citizens at two old folks homes.

SHAH ALAM, 28 May 2018 - In line with the blessed month of Ramadan, a month of self-reflection and spiritual renewal, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ('Digi') is encouraging customers to share the joy of their sincerity and fulfil their good intentions with a series of activities under the theme of #NiatBersama.

Bernard Lee, Digi's Head of Marketing Services said, "Ramadan month is about sharing and giving for all and at Digi we believe that a meaningful Ramadan starts with a sincere ‘niat’ (intent). Hence, we are constantly looking at ways on how we can give back to our customers by making internet usage more purposeful for them. So with #NiatBersama, we are hoping that they will have a platform to spread hope and joy to other people around them especially those who are less fortunate."

Bringing Ramadan cheer to senior citizens
As part of creating a meaningful celebration, it is Digi’s ‘niat’ to bring the Ramadan spirit and share the festive joy with senior citizens who are living at old folks’ homes. Recently, Digi visited an old folk’s home in Perak where the residents of the home were given basic food necessities as well as treated with new haircuts by MalyaArtwork and ‘Raya’ clothes. They were also entertained by Digi’s #niatbersama partner, Warner Music’s young local artistes, Cassidy, Aziz Harun, Andi Bernadee, Amir Hassan and Wan Shahjuddin.

"We're touched to see the excitement and the smiles on the old folks when we turned up to spend time with them. We will continue this Ramadan road trip to another two old folks’ homes in Pahang and Selangor within the next couple of weeks," explained Bernard, adding that interested Digi customers are welcome to join the next two visits to the old folks homes by redeeming an invitation at MyDigi Rewards through MyDigi app.
