Rediscover the true meaning of home with Digi this Chinese New Year

This festive season, Digi encourages all Malaysians to connect with those that we call home

SUBANG JAYA, 21 JANUARY 2020 – A house is not a home without the people who make it whole –this is the message that Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) is highlighting in their festive video for this year’s auspicious celebration.

Titled ‘Home’ or 家 (jiā), Digi’s video hopes to remind all Malaysians that it does not matter where or how festivities are celebrated, but it is who you are celebrating it with that makes a meaningful difference. Digi CNY 2020 video depicts a woman’s realisation that the true meaning of home is not the house but the loved ones that you live with.

In a day and age where staying connected is as easy as a phone call away or even a tap of a button, it is easy for us to take for granted the bonds that we have built over the years with our family members. It is important that we take a step back to remember and relive the happy moments created with each other.

Bernard Lee, Digi’s Head of Marketing Services reiterates this point, echoing the need to connect with the ones that we love and have come to call home.

“Near or far, no matter where one is, it is the family that makes the home. It does not matter where the celebration takes place, what dishes are being savoured or even the number of red packets we receive –home is where the family is, who are the most important people in our lives. From all of us at Digi, we want to wish all Malaysians Gong Xi Fa Cai. May it be a time of reflection, joy and appreciation for the ones closest to our hearts,” he says.
