Last chance for futsal enthusiasts to take home the RM100,000 grand prize and the title of ‘Raja Futsal’

SUBANG JAYA, 12 October 2018 - Are you in it to win it? Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("Digi") and partners are bringing the Raja Futsal tournament to the remaining three (3) few states after the nationwide search for the top futsal team in the country.

Since the event kickstarted in June, more than 650 teams have battled it out in 11 states across the country and to date, 24 teams have been selected to compete against each other in the finals that will take place on 10 November 2018 at Kompleks Sukan Negara Panasonic Shah Alam. There are only eight spots left to fill, and the tournament will take place in Kedah, Johor and finally Kuala Lumpur over the coming weeks.

Malaysians aged 18 to 30 are eligible to participate and stand a chance to win the nation's largest grand prize offered for a futsal game to date – the winning team will win RM100,000 and take home the ‘Raja Futsal’ title for the year.

The remaining dates for participating teams in the various states as well as the Grand Finale are as follows:

Fun-filled Finale Fiesta
The finale event will be opened to the public and exciting activities are in store – there will be a local brand bazaar by Propaganda Fest as well as food trucks to feed the crowd. Gamers can participate in a PS4 tournament, VR Experience and Drone showcase amongst many others. There will also be Kids Play Zone with activities like inflatable playground and giant bubbles to entertain the children.

One of the main highlights at the finale fiesta will be football clinics by local Malaysian football stars such as Safee Sali, one of Malaysia's national team player who also plays for Malaysia Super League club PKNS. Football enthusiasts can also test out their skills at a penalty shootout challenge and win some great prizes. Rounding up the list of activities are various engagement booths by the partners present at the event such as Vivo, Great Eastern, Etika, Puma and Era.
