K-pop fans to enjoy power-packed performances at DiGi Live K-pop Party 2011
Top Korean acts, Beast, 4Minute and G-Na to wow Malaysians in one night

SHAH ALAM, 5 DECEMBER 2010: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") ramped up its music proposition today with the launch of DiGi Live K-pop Party 2011 at One Utama. This collaboration with Universal Music offers customers a chance of a lifetime to see three award-winning acts from South Korea live at Stadium Negara on 13 January 2011.

Teenage fans of Beast, 4Minute and G.Na lined-up as early as five a.m. this morning to snap up party passes and those who reloaded at least RM30 had opportunities to win music merchandise and premiums as well as special passes to meet the artistes in person.

Fans were also treated to a live voice cross-over with pop-singer G.Na. During the conversation, the Korean singer expressed her excitement to perform for the first time in Malaysia at the party. She said to her fans, "I am so happy and honoured to be a part of this event. I have a great performance in store for you and look forward to your show of love and support at the party."

Also as a run-up to the January K-pop party, 19-year-old Jade Huang Sui Dee (范翠蒂) from Selangor was unveiled at the media launch as the winner of the DiGi flyaway contest to catch Beast live in Seoul. She will enjoy an all-expense paid trip for two to catch the "Welcome to Beast Airline" concert in Seoul on 12 December.

On supporting Korean pop culture, the Head of Segment Marketing, Moharmustaqeem Mohammed, explained: "We are always on the lookout on how best to connect with our customers to deliver what is relevant and needed for both work and play. Just like our current popular DiGi Easy Prepaid product that now comes with a music feature, DiGiMusic Pluz, we have tailored our music offering by making it easily accessible and packed with unique music experiences, including access to live performances by their favourite artistes.

"Since many of our customers are huge K-pop fans, we have just launched our debut K-pop venture with Universal Music called DiGi Live K-pop Party 2011, where our customers will have exclusive access to the biggest K-pop event where they get to meet our Korean artistes in person and party with them this coming January," he added.

Loan Cheong, General Manager of Universal Music Malaysia, said, "DiGi has once again pushed the envelope by putting together not one, but three top K-pop artistes, making this event the first of its kind in Malaysia. DiGi was the first to launch the iPhone app for legal music downloads called DiGiMusic Play a month ago. We are happy to work with DiGi in bringing together a rich and rewarding experience for their customers."

The DiGi Live K-pop Party 2011 will be launched on 6 December 2010. Valued at RM350, RM200 and RM120 respectively, the bundled packages consist of party passes, 30-day free trial of *DiGiMusic Pluz, mobile content of Beast, 4Minute and G.Na, special discounts on the artistes' albums and discounts on official merchandise. DiGi customers need to activate DiGiMusic Pluz via SMS ON PLUZ to 2000 before they can secure the packages.
