DiGi wins Best Brand Culture Award
DiGi recognized for its unique branding culture

Shah Alam, 1 April 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") was accorded the Best Brand Culture Award at the BrandLaureate's 2008-2009 Awards gala dinner yesterday.

The event, organised by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation ("APBF"), recognises companies for their dedication towards building their brand's strength and identity.

The award was presented by Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to DiGi Chief Executive Officer, Johan Dennelind with APBF Chairman, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Datuk Seri (Dr.) Elyas Omar in attendance at the gala dinner.

Said Dennelind: "An award like this serves to reaffirm to our employees and customers that we have the right focus. It's good to know our two most important assets - people and brand - are recognised and appreciated by others."

DiGi values of simplicity, innovation and best value are reflected in its people and in the way they work. Its open office concept breaks down barriers for healthy interaction that promotes sharing of knowledge and diversity of ideas. In fact, its offices are a visual realisation of its flat organisation structure that challenges the traditions of corporate hierarchy and bureaucracy.

DiGi has received numerous awards in recent years, including Asia Pacific Wireless Service Provider of the Year from Frost and Sullivan; Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award; the Prime Minister's CSR Award and Malaysia's Most Valuable Brand Award.
