DiGi takes its first retailing step with DiGi360°
Providing excellent customer experience to its customers

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November 2008: DiGi Telecommunications (M) Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") launched DiGi360°, the company's inaugural concept store, signalling a new extension of the company's distribution approach towards a more comprehensive retail experience for its customers.

The store was set up with the objective to expand and enhance DiGi's postpaid market share into segments relatively untapped previously. It is designed to provide a more personalised and empowering experience in terms of delivering services more proactively while instilling a sense of pride for being a DiGi customer.

Tom Schnitker, DiGi's Chief Commercial Officer explained, "It is only natural that DiGi is looking into expanding our postpaid segment, which offers a more stable source of revenue for the company. We see a growing market in data services such as games, content downloads and Internet browsing services among the postpaid customers. They are more demanding and require personalised services from their service providers."

According to him, DiGi360° would give a glimpse of the future that DiGi envisaged having – a comprehensive one-stop store that provides a sensory experience, where customers feel they can hang out and enjoy excellent customer experience at every touch point.

"We are using the store in SohoKL as an experimental platform to try out which service concept works best before implementing in our other DiGi Centres and our exclusive dealer outlets. We drew inspiration from other similar telco outlets in the region and in Australia.

DiGi360° is also a perfect platform to convey DiGi's brand values in a consistent, innovative and exciting manner. In line with DiGi's brand values of being Different, Daring and Dynamic for example, we have also installed a firemen's pole in the store for customers who prefer the unconventional way of going downstairs," said Schnitker.

The store also boasts a couple of Malaysia's 'Firsts', namely the Queue Management System (QMS), which completely eliminates the need for customers to take a ticket and queue for their turns. Customers can instead browse through the store and DiGi's specially trained Customer Relations Officers (CROs) will approach them personally, armed readily with all their account information.

Another proud feature of the store is the interactive DiGi Wall. It uses a special interactive technology that responds to body heat, and which was featured in the futuristic movie, Minority Report. Believed to be the first in Asia, this 57" multi-sensory "touch-less" screen allows customers to have fun learning about DiGi, its mobile products and services.

To celebrate the launch of DiGi360°, DiGi customers can enjoy up to 50% discount in selected restaurant and entertainment outlets in Solaris Mont Kiara. For a full list of these promotions, please visit www.digi.com.my/digi360.
