DiGi strengthens Internet foothold
• Turns on Turbo 3G™ for mobile phones in the Klang Valley
• Rapidly expands to cover Ipoh, Johor Bahru and Kuching by 2010
• Enables Internet Done Right on PCs, laptops, mobile phones and hotspots

PETALING JAYA, 12 NOVEMBER 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is cementing its foothold in the Internet space, an area it believes will be the revenue growth driver in two years, with a solid expansion plan that will see it bring quality Internet service to more Malaysians.

Today, DiGi launched its Turbo 3Gâ„¢ for mobile phones in the Klang Valley. This comes just a few weeks after it turned on Turbo 3Gâ„¢ mobile services in Penang and Kota Kinabalu. Its expansion in the Klang Valley to cover 59% of population coverage to date is ahead of the targeted 44% planned over the next three years.

Speaking at the launch, Johan Dennelind, chief executive officer of DiGi said, "We are pleased with the steady progress we have made. Our rollout is measured to provide excellent customer experience. We are ambitious yet realistic in addressing coverage without compromising our quality of service."

Having covered significant areas within the three cities, DiGi now has its eyes set on expanding into new market centers, including Ipoh, Johor Bahru and Kuching next year.

In tandem with its rapid expansion, DiGi is enabling more ways than one for people to jump onto the Internet bandwagon under the banner of DiGi Internet.

Dennelind added, "We now have complete Internet solutions for our customers; on PCs, laptops, mobile phones, smart phones and even WiFi services.

"We believe we started off on the right foot with a winning proposition for broadband which has been very well received. We hope to live up to the same expectations as we make our Internet services available through other channels. DiGi is definitely upping the ante when it comes to giving customers the right Internet experience."

In conjunction with the launch, DiGi has outlined a full suite of Internet offerings and promotional packages to make Internet services and devices accessible to more people. Amongst the highlights include:
