DiGi rythmizes prepaid with its new DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack

DiGi in partnership with MTV unveils the latest DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack offering FREE Unlimited SMS and downloads, cool mobile offerings, exciting events and much more

Kuala Lumpur May 6 2005 - As part of its commitment to fashion the mobile lifestyle of the younger generation, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd together with MTV Networks Asia, today launched its new youth service package which is the first of its kind in the country.

The DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack package is bundled with attractive offers including FREE unlimited SMS to Friends & Family numbers all day long, FREE unlimited MTV downloads, FREE daily MTV gossips via SMS, an exclusive WAP portal, exciting web portal, special invites to parties, movies, concerts and other cool events among others. It also allows them to expand their friends' network, share ideas, experiences and exciting services like Friend Finder, Bubble Talk, and LifeLogger. This new offering from DiGi is made available nationwide for prepaid customers.

Commenting on the DiGi-MTV partnership, Mr. Lee Cheok Yew, Executive Vice President, Southeast Asia and Digital Media, MTV Networks Asia said, "Today's announcement is about joining hands with DiGi to reach young people in Malaysia in a unique way. We are excited by the breath and depth of this partnership that covers a multitude of youth platforms ranging from on-air, on-the-ground, on-line and on-the-move (mobile) elements that our target audience can associate closely with."

"The introduction of our new prepaid service package is in line with DiGi's overall strategy to have a more segmented subscriber acquisition programme while maintaining a high pace of innovation in all our offerings," added Mr. Chee.

The package is available to all DiGi Beyond prepaid customers through subscription, and all DiGi's existing Prepaid Plus customers who subscribes to this package will automatically be converted to the Beyond prepaid tariff plan. A monthly subscription fee of RM5 will be charged for the package and RM2 for first time activation fee. RM5 is a special introductory subscription fee, while the RM2 first time activation fee will be waived for customers who activate within the month of May and June 2005. The DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack is retailed at RM18.
