DiGi redefines shop-till-you-drop for MTV generation
First merchant WAP portal with branded retailers to woo DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack customers
Kuala Lumpur, December 9, 2005– DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") in partnership with MTV Asia today announced yet another enhanced loyalty benefit to reward its valued DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack customers.
Malaysia 's first merchant WAP portal - MTV Powerpack Merchant Discounts - was launched today at a trendy bistro in Kuala Lumpur . It will host selected branded retailers, whose products and services will be offered to customers at attractive discounts.
All DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack customers are required to do is to download the merchant discount wallpaper from the WAP portal onto their mobile phones and flash them at any of the participating merchant outlets. With that, customers are entitled to enjoy on-the-spot discounts from the finest stores, clubs, restaurants and fashion houses.
This service is an enhancement of the existing Mobile Vouchers benefit which has over 100 merchants. With the addition of more relevant youth branded goods, the company hopes to attract more DiGi Prepaid MTV Powerpack subscribers demanding services in line with their youthful lifestyle and interests.

How to use
Each successful download is free for the December 2005. A charge of 15 sen will be levied by January 1 2006 onwards. Apart from the price per request, subscribers will also be charged for WAP/GPRS airtime. Currently, there are 13 merchants for December with new additional merchants updated on the portal each month.
