DiGi offers all smartphone models for Youth Communications Package
Available at participating DiGi Stores nationwide starting 8 January 2013

SHAH ALAM, 7 January 2013 - Effective 8 January 2013, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is making all smartphone models available for the government-driven initiative, Youth Communications Package. It will be available in 21 DiGi Stores nationwide with more participating retail outlets to be announced soon.

Under the Youth Communications Package from DiGi, customers can choose either prepaid and postpaid plans that best suit their needs. Existing DiGi customers, who qualify for the package, can enjoy the RM200 rebate immediately if they have  already subscribed to a data plan when they make their purchases.

New Postpaid customers can enjoy the RM200 rebate on any 3G smartphone, bundled with iDiGi plans (for iPhone models) or DG Smart Plans (for Android OS and Microsoft Windows Phone models) when they sign up with DiGi. They will also enjoy the rebate if they choose the Easy Payment Plan option. This is also applicable to any smartphone models offered in the current Jualan Internet 2X Ganda promotion.

Prepaid customers can choose either Samsung Galaxy Y (RRP RM369) or HTC One X (RRP RM1,749) to enjoy the RM200 rebate, and further receive a FREE RM10 reload coupon. Existing DiGi Prepaid customers without a data plan are required to subscribe to the Mobile Internet Weekly 300MB before enjoying the rebate. More prepaid packages will be unveiled in the near future.

"We will continue to roll out and scale up our service offerings and customer touch points in the coming weeks. We want to create a good customer experience by ensuring each touch point will be properly equipped and trained to handle the special purchasing process while advising our customers on how best to utilise the many benefits of Mobile Internet," explains Praveen Rajan, Head of Products - Internet & Services in DiGi.

Open to youths between 21 and 30 with monthly gross income of RM3,000 and below, the Youth Communications Package from DiGi is in line with its commitment to deliver Internet For All by making it more affordable to young Malaysians. The initiative is tailored to help drive mobile Internet usage while fulfilling the government's aspiration for a connected Malaysia.
