DiGi invites fans to post "Get well" messages to AAR lead vocalist
The All-American Rejects singer hospitalised, postponing DiGi Music LIVE concert

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 OCTOBER 2009: The DiGi Music LIVE concert, scheduled for 10 October, has been postponed because the lead vocalist of The All-American Rejects ("AAR"), Tyson Ritter, has been hospitalised.

The band had to cancel some of their performances booked in London and New York as well because of this unforeseen circumstance.

In a statement by DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd's Head of Segments, Koay Chee Keong said: "On behalf of DiGi and The All-American Rejects, DiGi would like to apologise to all DiGi Music Unlimited members for having to postpone the event because of the artiste's hospitalisation. The band is assuring their Malaysian fans, especially customers who have redeemed their complimentary tickets, that they will be back to give a show of a lifetime once a new date is set. We wish him a speedy recovery and we look forward to hosting the band in Malaysia soon."

Loan Cheong, General Manager of Universal Music Malaysia added: "It's just one of those incidents we'd like to avoid but it happens. More importantly, I'm thankful that Tyson is safe and I hope he will get well soon. I'm also very certain that the band will be back to rock with their Malaysian fans sooner than we think."

Koay further added: "For our loyal DiGi customers and AAR fans in Malaysia, we would like to offer free downloads of the band's songs from the band's latest album, When The World Comes Down. In collaboration with Universal Music, this will be made available on DiGi Music portal from next Saturday, 10 October onwards. Fans can also post their "Get well wishes" on a special dedication section to Tyson Ritter on www.digimusic.com.my/live, which will be available soon."

All DiGi customers are advised to retain their tickets till further notice. They can go to the DiGi Music website for more updates.

The DiGi Music LIVE concert is one of the one highlights of the recently launched DiGi Music Unlimited, which allows unlimited music downloads from www.digimusic.com.my. The website offers an extensive library of songs from two of the world's largest music distributors – Universal Music and Sony Music.
