Grand prize winners to play at St. Andrews Golf Club

JAKARTA, 9 DECEMBER 2009: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") concluded D'Masters Golf Tour 2009 on 5 December with the finalists playing off each other at the grand final held at Klub Golf Bogor Raya and Damai Indah Golf & Country Club in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Eric Chong, DiGi's Head of Consumer & Enterprise Sales said: "The respectable level of golf played at the grand final certainly made an exciting and challenging game for everyone. Tan Lik Heng of Hanson Quarry Sdn Bhd emerged as the Grand Final winner. By winning, he has earned himself a great opportunity to play at the historic home of golf, the St. Andrews Golf Club in Scotland. Lincoln Leong from Natural Avenue Sdn Bhd also secured himself a spot to play at St Andrews after his score card was picked via a Grand Lucky Draw.

The seven legs were held in Kota Permai Golf and Country Club (30 April), Bukit Jambul Golf and Country Club, Penang (14 May); Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club, Johor (18 June); Saujana Golf and Country Club (9 July); Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Resort, Sabah (24 September); Damai Golf and Country Club, Sarawak (20 October); and Sungai Long Golf & Country Club, Selangor (19 November).

The tournament was played on a modified system 36 stableford format-blind partnership combined nett score. The top pair finishers and a 'wild card' pick from each leg were subsequently selected to participate in the Grand Final.
